Korean convenience store food list – snacks, ramen, drinks
Korean convenience store food list: I'm going to post about snacks, ramen, and drinks. Convenience stores are the most accessible retailers in Korea, offering groceries and daily necessities. They are incredibly diverse and open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. If you want to experience the culture deeply embedded in modern Korean life, I recommend stopping by, browsing, and even purchasing some products.
The image above shows the logos of four major Korean convenience stores.
While there are some smaller companies, the four major companies dominate the Korean convenience store market. Let's first introduce the four major Korean convenience stores. These four companies account for approximately 97% of the Korean convenience store market.
7-Eleven: Established in 1989, 7-Eleven is Korea's first convenience store brand and has led the way in convenience store history. They collaborate with popular restaurants to launch convenient meals that allow customers to enjoy gourmet food on the go, achieving high sales.
CU: As of 2022, it is the largest brand in Korea with the most stores. Its convenient food selection is incredibly diverse and delicious. Among its own products, the "Giant" series, known for its generous portions, is very popular.
GS25: This convenience store chain has created a boom with its "value-for-money" lunch boxes and a variety of private-label products. It is renowned for its high-end coffee machines and delicious brewed coffee beans.
Emart24: This Emart-affiliated convenience store offers a wide range of products, including ramen, snacks, and beverages, with its affordable private-label "Minsaeng" series, which has been well-received.
