Min Heejin Court's Yongsan apartment has been seized

Min Heejin Court: I will post that Min Heejin's Yongsan apartment has been provisionally seized. It has been confirmed that a 500 million won provisional seizure has been placed on an apartment in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, owned by former Adore CEO Min Heejin.

The 21st Civil Affairs Department of the Seoul Western District Court granted a 500 million won provisional seizure of real estate filed against Adore CEO Min Heejin on December 23, 2024. A provisional seizure is a preservative measure that restricts the debtor's ability to dispose of assets in preparation for future claims for damages.

The subject of this provisional seizure is an apartment in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, registered under CEO Min Heejin's name. This is a separate property from the provisional seizure placed on a multi-family home in Yeonnam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, by a former Adore employee on November 11, 2024.

According to reports, the background to this provisional seizure is due to issues with the handling of interior styling service fees that arose during CEO Min Heejin's tenure. At the time, it was confirmed that Adore's style directing team leader had personally received styling service fees from an external advertiser. The National Tax Service determined that approximately 700 million won in these fees should be recognized as Adore's revenue and imposed a surtax.

Adore argued that the matter fell within the scope of CEO Min Heejin's supervisory and management responsibilities and therefore liable for damages. The court reportedly accepted this argument and ordered a provisional seizure. Former CEO Min Heejin has not yet released an official statement regarding this matter.

This issue was also raised during the confirmation of the termination of the shareholder agreement and the put option lawsuit between Hybe and former CEO Min Heejin held at the Seoul Central District Court on November 27, 2024. The court reportedly confirmed that the tax authorities had imposed a surtax on Adore.

Meanwhile, the legal dispute between Adore and New Jeans continues. Adore recently filed a lawsuit against former New Jeans member Daniel, his family, and former CEO Min Heejin, seeking a total of 43.1 billion won in damages and penalties. This amount includes 13.1 billion won in actual damages arising from the breach of contract and 30 billion won in penalties.

Adore stated that this dispute resulted in the departure of New Jeans members and the delay in their return, and that it intends to hold those responsible legally accountable.

Min Heejin Court: I posted that Min Heejin's Yongsan apartment had been provisionally seized. Litigation is truly difficult. I hope CEO Min Heejin handles it successfully. Fighting!
